People die, too, but we give birth nonetheless, bring people into the world, knowing we may one day lose them. Loss is part of life, I think. That doesn't quell the grief, but neither does it negate the joy people and creatures, all living things, bring into our lives. I would hate my life without that joy.

We do all die, for sure. And the most painful is when the natural order of things is disrupted and children die before their parents. But most pets have a known shorter life span than humans. I agree, TC, we need to experience the joy of living and so much of that comes from the people and creatures in our lives.
