My daughter is a student at Southeastern who holed up in the University Center during the storm. We need more info about Hammond and the university damage because we have seen her attempt some cell calls and we can hear her voice somewhat but cannot respond. Any info is appreciated. We cannot contact anyone!

I just heard on CNN that the levee on Lake Ponchtrain has a 2 block breech and two hospitals are being evacuated. They are checking on this information to confirm it. The source was the director at the Tulane University Hospital, which is one of the hospitals being evacuated.

My hopes and prayers are with you all on the gulf coast!

Do you have any more information on slidell ? How extensive is the damage? Our prayers are with everyone down south.
