Not a time for hate and blame ...the media simply can't get to everywhere...they face the same issues all others do. They are not ignoring Slidell. I am concerned too, have loved ones there and in Mobile etc...hard time for all, let's pull together guys and help in any way we can.

Went down Gause and the hospitals looked fine (both). Town does not look as bad as I had suspected from news reports but I just went down Ponchatrain and Gause

Got about 9 feet of water off Old Spanish Trail, but the water receded from most areas; New Kingspoint's levees held water for a while. Not much water past Gause, and the hospital is fine, although SMH was evacuated. No electric, phones, etc., but Turtle Creek and Cross Gates had running water for a few days. I'm going back tomorrow to deliver more supplies and help however I can; important questions can be e-mailed to me at BinkieInky@yahoo.com and I will try to answer them the best I can.

Posted by Glenn Davis at September 4, 2005 08:59 AMThe area around Hwy 90 and Hwy 190 is in bad shape. There is boats 2 miles from the rigolets east of the bridge sitting on 90. Apple Pie Ridge Road is gone from one end to the other, even broke the road. Avery Estates took 24 foot of surge most if not all tryed to float away. My place is on Downey Road the next road norh of Apple Pie Ridge 20 foot of surge all filled up with water the ones with slabs the ones that sit on wood floated around the yards.

Posted by Mary at September 5, 2005 07:02 PMjust about everything from freamaux over in slidell got some water. many people have trees down. dellwood subdivision and the connecting subdivisions, across ponchitrain dr. were almost completely under water. slamen high had water as well as neighbor hoods between ponchitrain foods and the health department. if your looking for pets many rescued and stray pets were brought to heritage park for the next few weeks for claims.

They report not as bad as rumors suggest. Some people staying with generators. Lots of police patrols, they are so grateful. They saw lots of Natl. Gaurd too. Applebees lost roof, but Wal Mart and Home Depot are open with generator power.

Looking for information about area around 42319 Highway 190 East Slidell, Louisiana. Please let me know how the Highway 190 East (on the North side of the highway)area between Apple Pie Ridge Roade and Downey Road faired Katrina. We lived there at one time and have friends who still resided there.
