Whew. I am relieved that somebody I tagged played along!
Posted by pooks at December 3, 2005 12:21 AMVery cool blog. I loved the entry about reading. I have been a voracious reader ever since kindergarten and could identify with alot of your points. Came through BE.
Posted by Vixen at December 3, 2005 12:21 AMi also used to read under my covers with a flashlight, trying to fool my parents into thinking i was asleep. never worked. my mom liked to tell me my eyes would fall out of my head if i didn't put the book down and sleep. that never happened but i do need contact lenses.
and, like you, i still stay up all night till i finish a book i'm loving. no matter what i have to do the next day.
Oh, this is a good meme.
But more importantly: When did Pooks get a blog and why did I not know about it?!
Posted by gwenda at December 3, 2005 06:16 AMAnd Lacy! Wait a minute -- how many other Left Doorers have blogs that I don't know about!
Posted by gwenda at December 3, 2005 06:19 AMSee? That's what you get for leaving the dark side and writing novels. Heh.
Posted by pooks at December 3, 2005 09:26 AMI like thinking of screenwriting as a Dark Art!
But, no fair. I'm onto you all now though. :)
Posted by Gwenda at December 3, 2005 09:50 AMI second the annual rereading. I have been through "A Wrinkle in Time" maybe 200 times by now and I can never get enough of it. I swear I can remember reaching for it in my elementary school library for the first time when I was in the 6th grade. It never fails to make me feel good - about everything.
Shit. I think I need to reread it right now!
Posted by Colleen at December 4, 2005 03:28 AMMy dad caught me reading under the covers with a flashlight and chewed me out for ruining my eyes, turned on the light, shut the door and went back to bed.
