Nah, I didn't realize the Seinfeld cat was named Puddy. (Whose cat was that?) Carl just thought it was funny, as in "I t'ought I taw a Puddy tat," Tweety Bird fame. Carl would name everything after cartoons if I gave him the chance, I think.

Puddy wasn't a cat, he was the big dumb dark-haired guy Elaine dated for a while. The "body-painter" sports fan; the guy who had the "Jesus Fish" on his car (and Elaine ripped it off.)

(hanging head in shame) I now remember him. Gah. I can't believe I forgot that. (And he went on to be The Tick, I think, in a short-lived show written by a friend of mine, ironically.)
