Call for Proposals:

Scientists, Mad Scientists and Science Fiction Writers
alike have been working to ‘build’ (however
conceptually) time machines that we can get into and
travel through time. TIME MACHINE, the exhibition,
will bring forth works of art that travel through
time, that are time machines in themselves, works that
deal with being both here and there and works that
recognize the effect of time travel. Remember in Back
to the Future when Micheal J. Fox’s family begins to
dissolve from his photograph because his mother has a
crush on him. You get the idea, be creative.

TIME MACHINE is accepting proposals for the exhibition
to be held at BLD Studios in Columbus, OH during the
month of October 2004.

Prospectus
1. All media will be considered.
2. Everyone is eligible to enter. International
artists are encouraged to apply.
3. All proposals must be submitted by September 1st
2004, Please send application materials to TIME
MACHINE, BLD Studios, 400 E. Second Ave., Columbus, OH
43201 or via email to Eva Ball at
evadestruction8@yahoo.com. Application materials will
not be returned unless requested and stamped envelope
included.
4. Proposals should be no more than one written page
and must include at least 3 images of proposed work
and/or previous work. Include your name, address,
phone number and email. Include proposed media, title
and approximate dimension for proposed piece and the
same for the examples of previous work. These images
and your ability to justify your time machine will
decide if your proposed work is accepted. There will
be a catalog with a theoretical examination of each
piece so be prepared to discuss your work.
5. If your work is accepted you will be notified
September 8th and will be required to submit a
high-resolution image of the work by September 15th
for the catalog.
