country and city

On Sunday we went for a hike in the woods of Bergen County, about half an hour's drive from here. The leaves are finally beginning to change:

Yesterday, Monday, I went into Manhattan on my own. Naturally, I brought my camera:

I like this more than I'd have guessed, living in this betwixt and between town. Country and city both within easy reach.

What a nice blog... and so cute the picts :)
I'll come back to visit you! ^_^

These colors are beautiful! Since I also live in Jersey, I have been able to enjoy the colors of autumn. I think I will have to take some pictures today to post on my site.

I am so happy that your son has found a placement that suits his needs.

Thanks, Eileen. I feel very very lucky to have found such a good school for Damian. I know what's out there...

And I encourage you to post fall foliage pictures on your blog (and then tell me about them). It's such an amazing time of year. I missed it desperately all those years in California.

I have been a reader of this blog since seeing it recommended on the Special Needs board of UrbanBaby a few months ago. A lot of us with kids on the spectrum read Hidden Laughter and love it. It's also very helpful because so many of us have kids of preschool age and younger, and the future is a big question mark for us. Learning how it's going for a school-age child is extremely helpful.

I have been following your travels and was moved to post because these photos were shot around the corner from my apartment! What brought you into Morningside Heights?
